The HPE Smart Array P816i-a SR Gen10 Controller is an enterprise-class RAID controller that improves the performance of messaging, database, and server applications while providing 12 Gb/s SAS connectivity on HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers when connected to 12 Gb/s internal storage ports.

Improves performance with 4 GB of flash caching and reduces latency for write-intensive applications that require persistent logging, such as databases.

Improves performance in storage environments where data is read repeatedly from a large number of SSDs using HPE SSD Smart Path to create a faster I/O path between the controller and the SSD.
Accelerate data access in HDD-based environments by caching frequently accessed data to SSDs with HPE Smart Array SR SmartCache (enabled).
