The Intel Xeon Gold 5218R is a powerful, stable, and reliable 2nd generation Xeon Scalable server processor (Cascade Lake-SP architecture), designed for enterprise servers, virtualization, databases, cloud solutions, and heavy-duty workloads.

With 20 physical cores and 40 threads, a base frequency of 2.10 GHz and turbo boost capability up to 4.00 GHz, the Gold 5218R provides significant power reserves for both multi-threaded and frequency-intensive tasks.

The L3 cache size is 27.5 MB, which accelerates operations with large amounts of data, databases, caching, and virtual machines.

The processor supports a six-channel DDR4-2666/2933 ECC Registered/Load-Reduced memory controller, allowing for up to 1 TB of RAM per socket — critical for enterprise servers, databases, VM fabrics, and RAM-intensive workloads.

The Gold 5218R is designed for socket FCLGA3647and supports multiprocessor systems 2-socket (2S), enabling the creation of scalable server platforms.
